A handful of files, doing nothing clever
No profiling, no ad network, no data broker. Three narrow jobs and that is the lot.
Adults only. Gold Coins never convert to cash. Free postal entry accepted at every brand listed. Helpline 1-800-522-4700.
Holding the interface together
Two or three entries remember a dismissed banner and a display preference so the hub does not reset itself between pages. Strip them out and things start behaving oddly, but nothing about you travels inside them.
Tallying visits
A headcount, essentially. Which entries get opened, roughly how long they hold somebody, and which broad region the visit came from. The tally decides the order of next quarter re-testing. Nobody is named, tagged or followed.
Attributing sign-ups
Click a commercial link and the brand drops a cookie of its own so a later registration is credited back here. That file answers to the operator and their policy, not ours, and it shows us nothing about your account once you are inside.
Switching the lot off
Browser settings will block or wipe every one of them and the hub carries on. Killing the headcount costs you nothing at all. Killing attribution costs us a fee and costs you nothing, which we would rather put in writing than bury.
Should the list grow
A fourth purpose would be written onto this page before it started running. That is the order of operations, not a promise to update later.
